This project takes Chinese herbal culture as a link and, through the “cultural experience-group integration-active empowerment” path, facilitates the social integration and vocational empowerment of autistic groups, while achieving two-way healing between autistic groups and ordinary people.
In terms of inclusive design, it connects autistic traits with herbal properties through natural experiences, and combines “herbal personality tests” to build a bridge of understanding between autistic groups and the general public, eliminating the public’s prejudice against them. With decentralized design, autistic young people act as “guides”, giving play to their advantages as employees of the Chinese herbal garden, helping them transform from “the helped” to “value providers”. Through non-verbal collaboration suitable for autistic groups, it promotes the public to become value co-builders.
For sustainable design, the “integration co-builder” mechanism encourages the public to participate in autism assistance for a long time. The modular Chinese herbal peripheral product collaboration workshop helps replicate the model, attracting more outsiders to pay attention to autistic groups and expanding the inclusive ecosystem and the influence of two-way healing.
Plop is the sound of a seed falling to the ground, and also the sound of a heartbeat. Society defines what is plain, but we hope to hear plop, for that is the sound of our resonating heartbeats.
